1985
West Bromwich Albion WFC was born in the Summer of 1985, the team was originally called Sandwell Women as West Bromwich Wasps already existed. The Sandwell Women played their football in the Sandwell and District Women’s 5-a-side League and the team proved to be successful as they went onto become the holders of the Walsall Cup and the Sandfield International Trophy.
1986
In this year Sandwell Women received a Sponsorship offer from Holly Lane Sports and Social Club, this resulted in the team becoming Holly Lane LFC, success wasn’t far away as the following season the team went onto become League Champions.
1989
Following the demise of West Bromwich Albion Wasps, the Holly Lane team took the opportunity to change its name and "West Bromwich Albion" was formed.
1993
West Bromwich Albion ceased playing competitive football, and such was the prestige of the name that a retainer was paid to preserve the name for later use.
1995
West Bromwich Albion WFC was resurrected when some of the previous players decided to re-build the team to once again compete in the West Midlands Women’s Regional Football League.

2006
WBA WFC's 1st team had a record breaking year, they won the Premier Division of the West Midlands Women’s Regional Football League by winning every league game played, a perfect 20 played and 20 wins. They added to this by recording the most goals ever scored by any West Midland League team in one season this was a staggering 124. The team also reached the final of the Birmingham County Cup losing to Birmingham City, however the season was capped off in sensational fashion by beating Stoke City Ladies to win the West Midlands Ladies, Premier Division League Cup. The junior section had an amazing season too, the U16's reached the final of the Birmingham County Cup losing out to Leafield, this was a great achievement for a team which is only in it's second season. The U14’s won their Premier division of the Central Warwickshire Girls Football League, and also went onto win the League Shield, another fantastic performance for a team just two seasons old, and the U10’s were runners up in their division and also semi finalists in both the League Cup and League Shield competitions, quite an achievement for a team only it’s first season playing in a tough competitive division.
2007
WBA WFC had a successful year with the 1st team finishing 7th in the Midland Combination league in their first season and the 2nd team finishing 5th in the Reserve league. The junior section had a very successful year with 3 out of 4 teams winning their respective leagues and all 4 teams taking part in finals. The u12’s were League Champions and Open Cup winners as well as League Shield Runners-up and the u10’s were League Champions, League Shield and Open Cup winners. An amazing season for our junior teams.

The 2nd team ended their season as Reserve League Champions and League Cup winners. The junior teams also had very successful seasons with the u16’s finishing their season as league runners-up and the u14’s ending their season in a very respectable 5th position. The u12’s and the u10’s concluded their respective seasons as League Champions and the u10’s also claimed the League Shield trophy.
2009
WFC finished a remarkable season with 5 of the 6 teams competing in cup finals.
The 1st team finished 3rd in the Midland Combination Premier League and for the second consecutive season the 2nd team were league champions and runners-up in their league cup competition.
The u16’s were league runners-up and Birmingham County Cup winners with a resounding win over Wolves Belles earning themselves the opportunity to represent Central England in the Tesco Cup competition but narrowly missed out to Manchester United in the national finals in a game that was played at the Walkers Stadium, Leicester. The u12’s and u14’s had remarkable league campaigns by winning their respective leagues unbeaten and both went on to claim league cup trophies. However, the u10’s went one better by completing ‘the treble’ with league cup and shield trophies as well as being crowned league champions.
